Marcus learned to cut hair at 16 in his grandfather's garage in south Boise. What started as trimming up cousins on weekends turned into a decade-long career trained in New York City before he came back home.
He opened Kings Cut in 2014 with one chair and a waiting list that formed before the paint was dry. Today the shop runs three chairs, all by appointment, because your time matters as much as your haircut.
